No
one is immune to personal problems. |
Problems
are unfortunate facts of life experienced by everyone,
everywhere. Quite often some personal problems adversely
affect employees' performance at work, affecting
productivity and straining relationships with coworkers.
EAP services are designed to enhance the quality
of life in the employee by helping them to cope
with the kinds of problems most of us encounter
at least once in our lives. |
|
|
The
Employee Assistance Program offers confidential,
professional consultation and assistance to help
you and your family resolve difficulties that may
be affecting your personal lives and job performance. |
The
EAP is available to help with any problem troubling
you, including: |
During
your meeting with the EAP counselor, there will be
an opportunity to discuss your concerns and to find
solutions and strategies for dealing with them. Many
problems can effectively be resolved with short-term
counseling provided by the EAP counselor. If you prefer
to use outside services, or if a referral is recommended
by the EAP counselor, you will be assisted in locating
additional resources that can meet you individual
needs. EAP
is usually available to all employees, their spouses
and immediate dependents. |

One
of the most important responsibilities of the supervisor
is to monitor and evaluate the employees job performance.
The supervisor's capabilities to accomplish this
are greatly improved by receiving training in the
identification of employee performance problems,
consultation on documentation and intervention with
the employee, and a readily available resource for
referral of the employee. The need for specialized
resources outside of the company organization continues
to grow. Services are provided through training,
phone consultation, written information and referral
services. EAP services provide a resource for consultation
and information regarding regulations. Company policies
and management of human resource issues will be
reviewed. Plus, on-site intervention for critical
issues is available on a fee-for-service basis.
|
|
There
is no cost to you for using the EAP. Referral
to another resource for additional assistance
could result in a fee. Many times these fees
will be partially covered by health insurance.
Many problems can be resolved with brief contact
through the EAP. For problems that require
help beyond the EAP, every attempt will be
made to refer you to the best and most affordable
resources. Provide skills for supervisors
through training, consultation and referral
information. |
